Close bonds can form among the crewmen of a ship. Sometimes they are so strong that not even death can break them. When a spirit cannot bear to leave a vessel that has been the scene of great personal struggle and camaraderie, that spirit may remain, and other spirits may do so too to keep them company in the afterlife.
